The competition winning masterplan comes from the studio of architecture firm, CHROFI, whose credits include the design of New York’s Building of the Decade.


Working closely with CHROFI and Mirvac Design to ensure seamless integration of the landscape with the built form, is McGregor Coxall, a multi-disciplinary design firm whose landscape design philosophy is exquisitely expressed by the Calyx in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

CHROFI’s approach to architecture is informed by a profound belief that people and place must guide the built form. Founded in 2000 after gaining international acclaim for its competition winning redesign of the TKTS booth in Times Square, cited as New York’s Building of the Decade, the practice is home to a team of 35 professionals based in Manly and headed by directors John Choi, Tai Ropiha and Steven Fighera. The studio has an impressive portfolio of built projects, among them Stamford on Macquarie, The Goods Line with Aspect Studios, Narrabeen House, Ballast Point, Harbord Diggers and the Manly 2015 Masterplan. Credits include the 2009 World Architectural Festival Award and 2009 AIA Jorn Utzon Award for International Architecture.

McGregor Coxall

McGregor Coxall is a multi-disciplinary design firm with studios in Australia, China, and the UK. Dedicated to assisting cities achieve sustainable prosperity, McGregor Coxall has expertise in landscape architecture, urbanism, environment and biocity research. International expertise combines with local knowledge and sensitivity to deliver design solutions for complex urban and environmental challenges.


MIM Design has etched a name for itself nationally and internationally with a design portfolio that spans high end private homes and custom interiors across residential, five star hotels, retail and hospitality. The focus is on creating spaces that are sophisticated, refined, timeless and elegant.
